Going to the memorial site was very emotional for me. Even though I did not personally lose someone during this tragedy it still breaks my heart for all the lives that were lost on that day because of a selfish and senseless act.

To be able to take the kids to see this meant a lot. For them to see how tragedy can be turned into hope and to appreciate how the City of New York has paid tribute to to the victims and how peaceful it is now you couldn't imagine what it took place on this very site 11 years ago.

Just wanted to share our day with a few images we captured during our visit.

This makes you appreciate the life you have and to not take anything for granted.
